Cuts
- MDF 1 - @ 78.25"L x 16.50"W (top)
- MDF 1 - @ 78.25"W x 30 1/4"L (back)
- MDF 2 - @ 30 1/4"W x 16.50"W (sides)
- 1 - 2x4 @ 79" (brace under the top)
- 1- 1x3 @ 76 5/8" (top trim)
- 2 - 1x2 @ 30 1/4" (side trim)
Directions
Pocket Holes (PH)
- Add pocket holes to the back piece (top and sides) be sure to add the pocket holes on the back side that will go against the wall. Please note, I only added pocket holes to the top of the back piece
- Add pocket holes to both ends of the top piece (be sure it's the side that will face the floor(hidden)
- Add pocket holes to both ends of the brace
Attachments (Apply wood glue prior to attaching)
- Attach back piece to the top piece with 1 1/4"PH screws
- Attach side pieces to top and back piece (if you created pocket holes use 1 1/4" PH screws, if not, use brad nailer 1 1/4" nails)
- Add the brace under the top and attach with 1 1/4" PH screws
Trim
- Add side and top trim, attach with brad nailer 1 1/4"nails
Sand, then add primer and make sure it's completely dry before adding the clay paint. Once dried, apply Roman Clay paint using the technique in the video. I ordered the Roman Clay Paint from Portola Paints, the color is Sasha.
