Cuts

  • 8 - 1x2@17in
  • 36 - 1/2 poplar boards @ 13 in
  • 4 1/2 in poplar boards @ 15 in
  • 1x4x8 (base) cut to fit

At one of the boards, cut 45 degree angle at center point on both edges with miter saw.

Directions

Make two squares with (4each) 1x2s glue and attach with brad nailer
Glue and attach squares with 1/2" poplar boards @ 15" with brad nailer
Attach remaining 1/2 " boards (leave a little space in between boards) with brad nailer
Cut 1x4s to size for base. Nailing the base is optional.
